Ophel stores all your data locally in your browser. The backup and restore tools in Settings → Backup & Sync let you export that data as a JSON file for safekeeping, move it to another device, or wipe everything and start over.

Export a backup

Three export types are available. Choose the one that fits what you need to preserve:
Use Full backup before making any large configuration changes or before clearing your data. It’s the safest snapshot to fall back to.
Full backups can contain valid Claude Session Keys when that feature is in use. Keep backup files private.

Import a backup

Drag and drop a JSON file onto the import area, or click it to open a file picker. Ophel validates the file format before writing anything. Once the import is confirmed, the page refreshes automatically to apply the new configuration.
Importing overwrites your existing data. Export a backup of your current state before importing a file from another device or an older snapshot.

Clear all data

Go to Settings → Backup & Sync and click Clear all data. This deletes every piece of data Ophel has stored locally — prompts, conversation metadata, folders, tags, and all settings — and returns the extension to its initial install state.
This action is irreversible. Export a full backup before clearing if you want to preserve anything.
